How to Install New Wheels/Belts on DIY Electric Skateboard! [DrESkateboard]

In this video, I show you how to install new wheels/belts on your DIY electric skateboard. If pulley size on the new wheels like shown in the video, you will need to buy a slightly bigger belt or slightly smaller.

I was using 250 5M belts but they were already pretty tight with motors so I ordered new 260 5M belts and they fit perfectly for the new bigger pulley on the new wheels.

You can find belts on Amazon or eBay just do search for whatever size you need such as “260 5M belts”. Also make sure to get the right size belt, mine is 15mm for my 15mm pulleys.

If motor pulley and wheel pulley does not align up perfectly, you may have to use extra washers/spacers to have the wheel pulley align with the motor pulley. Or you may have to adjust the position of your wheel pulley.

Make sure to use loctite on all screws, I already had some applied so I skipped that step but you should always apply loctite on everything and also check for the first few rides to make sure screws aren’t not coming off.

If you have any questions, leave them in the comment box below, I’d be happy to answer them! 🙂
